Together, Laax, Flims, and Falera form one of the largest and most diverse ski areas in Graubünden, covering around 100 square kilometres with more than 210 kilometres of groomed pistes. With slopes reaching up to 3,018 metres above sea level at the Vorab Glacier, excellent snow conditions are virtually guaranteed throughout the season.

Our winter sports expert Florian Schenke tested the entire ski area—from top to bottom and edge to edge—so you have everything you need at a glance. His insights are compiled into this easy-to-use online guide.

Falera

(Perfect for beginners and children)

Falera is known for its flat, wide slopes, making it ideal for first turns on skis or a snowboard. With plenty of blue runs, beginners can practice in a relaxed and confidence-boosting environment.

Top tip: Despite its beginner-friendly reputation, Falera also offers a few more demanding runs—so no one gets bored.

Flims – Valley Area

(For beginners, families, and children)

Located close to the village, the Flims valley slopes are a favourite with families. Wide, gentle pistes create the perfect practice area, especially for those still finding their balance.

Top tip: These slopes are particularly well suited for learning to snowboard.

Schneewunderland Falera

(For children)

In Falera’s magical snowy wonderland, children can meet Ami Sabi, the friendly character who introduces them to winter sports through stories about the forest, animals, and mountains.

Top tip: Two additional children’s parks can be found right next to the Falera valley station.

Nagens & Mutta Rodunda

(For advanced skiers)

This high-alpine area features a wide selection of red runs, glacier slopes, and long carving pistes. At elevations of up to 3,018 metres, you’ll enjoy sunshine, space, and stunning panoramic views.

Top tip: Expert skiers can take on the demanding descent from the back of the Vorab Glacier down to Alp Ruschein.

Beginner Park

(For beginners & freestyle newcomers)

The Beginner Park in Laax is the ideal place to get started with freestyle skiing or snowboarding. Simple obstacles allow you to build confidence step by step.

NoName Snowpark

(Paradise for snowboarders & freestylers)

NoName is home to the world’s largest halfpipe, making it a must-visit for advanced riders and freestyle fans. A wide range of obstacles ensures plenty of variety.

Top tip: Even if you don’t dare drop into the halfpipe, watching the pros in action is an experience in itself.

Curnius Snowpark

(Largest snow park in the area)

Stretching nearly one kilometre and featuring around 25 obstacles, Curnius Park is the largest snow park in Laax. It caters to all levels, from beginners to pros.

Top tip: Kids are welcome too—this park is fun for the whole family.

Freestyle Academy

(Indoor freestyle & training)

The Freestyle Academy is a unique indoor facility where beginners and professionals alike can work on their skills. With trampolines, air tracks, and foam pits, it’s ideal for learning new tricks safely.
