Surval Montreux is a one-of-a-kind international boarding school exclusively for girls aged 12 to 19, located on the outskirts of the vibrant city of Montreux in French-speaking Switzerland. The school was founded in 1961 and celebrates its 60th anniversary, with a growing network of alumnae of different generations across the globe. Surval Montreux benefits from an exceptionally beautiful location and inspirational setting, surrounded by the Swiss Alps and overlooking Lake Léman. This idyllic location offers unlimited learning opportunities beyond the classroom, ranging from winter and water sports to an enriching cultural tradition, which students can explore travelling in Switzerland and Europe. Surval Montreux stands out as the only all-girls English-speaking international boarding school providing a unique environment in which girls are educated for future success and influence. Housed in a former art déco luxury hotel, Surval Montreux boasts a beautiful wraparound terrace overlooking Lake Léman and Château de Chillon, large balconies accessible from the bedrooms and private tennis courts. Overview

Surval Montreux offers a bespoke and flexible curriculum, which includes the American High School Program with Advanced Placements, and the international IGCSE and A Level curriculum. For students aged 12-13, Surval also offers a broad, balanced Foundation programme in Grade 8, devised to provide strong foundations in the English and French language, core subjects and independent study skills to ensure the girls’ success in Grade 9 and beyond, whether they decide to follow the Surval High School Diploma programme or the UK qualifications. Surval Montreux prides itself on offering unique educational opportunities including an enriching pre-university finishing-style programme, the Surval Swiss Gap Experience, as well as a Winter Term programme and a very successful Surval Summer Camp. The Surval community welcomes 60 girls boarders, with an average of 10 students in each class, offering each girl a welcoming home-from-home and the opportunity to receive the support each of them needs to achieve her best, to grow in confidence and to feel empowered to find her true voice.
