Institut auf dem Rosenberg – Intensive Swiss Summer Camp

Situated in a 100'000 m2 estate surrounded by the Swiss mountains and lake, this boarding school is one of the most distinguished in the world. The Institut auf dem Rosenberg excels in this aspect by including several options for extracurricular activities as well as long summer camps that balance fun and learning. These also come with an academic curriculum that transcends cultures.

The Institut auf dem Rosenberg is located in the old town of St. Gallen, surrounded by views of the Swiss countryside.

To cater to international students, the boarding school near the Zurich International Airport, which is 50 away by car or train. Additionally, the institution is close to the Munich International Airport, which is 3 hours away.

One of the leading boarding schools in the country, the Institut auf dem Rosenberg caters to 260 students from more than 40 countries. The school sets itself apart by its holistic curriculum, which combines academic rigor with extensive extracurricular activities.

The institute is one of the few boarding schools that offers five main academic tracks, including AP, GCE, and International Baccalaureate programs. Students who need help in communicating in English, German, and Italian also have the option to enroll in language courses. In addition, the institute also offers preparatory courses in several international certifications, including SAT and IELTS.

Unique in the institute is its curriculum based on those taught in top-tier UK, US, and German schools. This broad approach to education ensures that students get the best of what each culture has to offer.

Accommodations include separate houses for boys and girls, organized by age group. Rooms are either single or double. For admissions, interested parties should arrange a personal consultation and submit the application form and supporting documents. Shortlisted participants will then be interviewed and asked to take the entrance test. Afterward, they will receive the results shortly.

Summer Programs Summer Programs

The junior summer camp is for students aged 6 to 13 years and can run for up to six weeks.

The senior summer camp is for participants aged 14 to 18 years and runs for a minimum of two weeks.

Both camps offer "Focus Courses". The camp students have the opportunity to choose either English or German lessons or one of camp’s focus courses: Diplomacy & Activism, Environmental Science & Sustainability, Fashion & Textile Design, Fine Arts, Informatics & Coding, Performing Arts, and Robotics & Engineering.

Course content is based on the age and interest of the students. It mostly takes place in the Creative Lab on campus. More languages can be offered on demand.

Activities Activities

Beside the classes the students can enjoy activity-packed afternoons, which includes sports programs and optional activities such as coaching for golf, tennis, horse-riding, personal training. Other sports can be available on request.
